Just Chillin!

We are in Warrior, AL. We arrived on Thursday and are just hanging out doing chores, etc. It's almost like being home. Al had a few things to work on. I've been doing laundry and all the domestic stuff that needs to get done. Yesterday, I made some homemade chicken noodle soup and froze half of it for another time. We hadn't left the campground until today, when we ventured out to the Piggly Wiggly grocery store to pick up a few items. This is not a happening place, but sometimes you just need to relax, do a little reading, and do some things that need to get done.

The weather has been on and off. Yesterday was warm, but not sunny. Last night the temperature dropped drastically. It was actually hot when we went to bed and cold when we got up, so we needed to turn the heat on.

We are leaving here tomorrow and plan to stop in Montgomery, Al for a night or 2 then will head down to the Gulf Coast. Hope the weather is good. After that we hope to go to New Orleans.

  1. Hi Nita and Al, Just had time to catch up on your travels, and it sounds like you're having a great trip so far. Grand Ole Opry must have been wonderful--I had some good memories of the country stars of the past just from reading your comments. Glad the solar is working out, I'm sure it will help a lot in the non-electric camp areas. Nita, you're doing a great job on the blog, keep it up. Talk to you soon, Love, Judy

  2. Good Morning,

Sounds like you guys are adjusting to this fulltiming like pros.. Keep on taking your time. There is so much out there to see. Have a wonderful time in New Orleans. We sure enjoy it and of course, Gulf Shores is one of our favorite places.

  3. Hope you're having a great time doing what you want, when you want...just remember that you have to be here in 1 month for Nutcracker ;-) OR you could come for Thanksgiving and stay for Nutcracker...and Christmas, right?! Not that we're excited to see you guys or anything. I'm just sayin...

  4. We'll definately be there for Nutcracker and Christmas! We'll see how it goes for Thanksgiving. It would be nice! We have certain places we want to go along the way to your place, so we'll see if time allows. If we come I could make Emma's favorite cranberry sauce.....ummmm!
